week 36 of the 52-week challenge calls for an artistic photograph of food. running out of ideas, i thought i'd do food photography for this week. heck, seeing i could do 4 days of flip flops, you'd think it'd be easier to do 7 days of food!
so we start with breakfast. i like french toast on weekend mornings, with real maple syrup, no less. this morning i made french toast out of cranberry-orange bread. delish! i tried quite a few times to capture the flowing maple syrup but the best i managed was that little trickle from the bottle's mouth which you can discern from that little blurry triangle at the top (by the word medium).
and pairing it off with the beatles' "good morning! good morning!" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y9U08ATD7FA you need to tone down your volume so you can appreciate john lennon's voice.
the sinus infection has got better, methinks, but my throat is sore it hurts when i swallow, and the first taste of maple syrup was a bit testy but i finished my toast. of course!
That looks so yummy! I haven't had French toast for ages. I think I will have to do something about that. I would add a rasher or two of bacon onto the plate though.
Now that is one breakfast that most definitely appeals. Looks delicious and accompanied with a mug of strong black coffee would be a perfect start to the day. I'm looking forward to what you offer us next from your kitchen. In the meanwhile, wishing you a speedy recovery.
I've got the 'Good morning, good morning' from Singing in the Rain playing in my head now!
