i think i could make a good guess where they are. this is right across the doors of the liquor store. or they had a bathroom break. :-)
national fitness challenge results: officially placed second overall. with 1,935,000 plus steps. the first place winner had 35,000 steps ahead of me, but the third placer was about 65,000 steps behind me. it was a good effort although i knew i could've done better. i didn't know that we could convert into steps other activities like yoga, dancing, etc. until the middle of the month. what i should've done was to have gone back and put in at least the minimum time for my other strenuous activities like my exercises and housework. so potentially i could've won. but there is next year and next year i intend to win it. even if i had to enroll in rock climbing or go kayaking, i will go rock climbing and kayaking. the one sore spot for me is that i sent a congratulatory email to the two ladies, the winner and the third placer, but neither acknowledged it. and i thought i was a sour puss!

As to the rude competitors: The first one didn't answer because she knew she cheated on the activities and the third by mere envy, elementary. That said to clear my investigating attitude, I deduct that the buskers have been kidnapped by aliens. Humans, prepare a ransom.
I like what @domenicododaro said - how do you verify anyone's achievement! I daresay one busker has his eye on these instruments while getting more supplies. But it could be like the Marie Celeste!
