i intended to go for another low-key still life but i should like to save my props for another day. also, i'm not feeling artistic and i couldn't think of any clever way to pose my meager props. but after i took a shower and dried my hair, i thought it looks decent enough for a self-portrait if i could think of a reasonable excuse to take one other than a low key shot. then i remembered there is that on-going portraits of me and i promised sheralee that i will play some weeks whenever i can. so here we go
for the flash of red february. also for the 52 portraits of me 2018 the theme this week being "monochrome".
you must pardon me if i haven't made it to your albums. i'm typing using the rubber end of a pencil as my fingers are rather sore from getting burned the other day. i might have a hard time doing work tomorrow at the office.
Looking very sophisticated and not in the least bit elderly. It is lovely to see a prop free portrait of the beautiful you. And, if I ever reach this standard of portraiture, then I would have achieved my dreams and beyond.
I admire these self portraits as well, along with many of your other images...ok question. how do you get such good focus & catchlight in your eyes when doing a self-portrait? I am stymied!
No, I would say a poised and sophisticated woman. There's no evidence of your age except that you're not a teenybopper. The lighting is perfect. Well done!
Such a beautiful self portrait (will not call it the more casual selfie because this is far too professional!)
I read your set up for this - really well done and there are a ton of tips I took from that informative post.
