the northster and i braved the heat and went photo walking this morning. we started at downtown toronto then hopped on the subway train up north. we ended up at the don east parklands. this was taken towards the end of our walk.
the walk was cut short as the heat caught up with me. i've never been affected by the heat even when i lived in muscat, oman. of course, i was half my age then but i always thought that i am made of a stronger constitution so i'm chucking that down to age. i insist.
i thought i was not going to make it home as when i got to the station i felt a bit faint. fortunately there was a nurse who just came off duty from the nearby hospital and insisted on me sitting down to rest for a bit. she even took my pulse which she was happy to find normal. as soon as i reached my apartment, i had some cool water, not cold, but just cool as instructed by "nurse ratched". then after twenty minutes, i just gulped down a tall glass of the iced tea i made from scratch yesterday. i had a lie down and four hours later i was refreshed. good as new, as they say. i was going to call back the northster but a thunderstorm was raging outside and thought better.
A beautiful arched bride in the shade that works so well for the symmetry challenge.
This heat has been terrible - it is so hard on people and everything else. Take it easy!
Terrific shot of the bridge, nice symmetry in the photo, spectacular to see a northy reveal! Good to know you’re feeling OK. Don’t overdo girlfriend, you have a lot of years to last
I love your composition. Good to see Northy also. I’m glad you have fully recovered from the heat. It can really sneak up before you realize it. Nurse Ratchet gave you good advice.
Not entirely unmasked - but maybe as much as you dare! And well placed for the shot. Sorry you had to cut your adventure short but glad that a recovery was made.
Glad you recovered from your heat-exposure! So fun to see NOrthy, unmasked. I love being with 365 friends. Some of us tag our photos "365-photobuddies" -- so we can see each other :)
