a rarely used bling, a radiant-cut onyx pendant set in 14 ct gold with two tiny emerald cut diamonds. this was a gift from an ex-flame from a long long time ago when the world was young and so was i.
this week i learned that i can avert having a vertigo attack with meditation. it's mental awareness week this week at work and the firm treated us to a free meditation class. for a few days, i've been feeling dizzy, but not a full blown vertigo attack. lying down was bad, and sudden movement of the head, especially to the left was bad. although i would feel nauseated, i couldn't make myself barf as that was one of my temporary cures. but at the meditation class, i noticed in the afternoon that my dizziness was gone and i had a good night's sleep last night. however, when i woke up, the symptoms came back. good thing the lady who conducted the meditation has sent me a meditation kit to listen to.
also tonight, both in desperation and by accident, i learned how to do focus stacking in photoshop cc. i've been avoiding to do that and now i find it quite easy really. so i have also fulfilled week 38 of the 52 weeks challenge which was focus stacking. three photos were used. used raynox macro filter; no cropping.
this is also for the weekly theme 'periodic table'.
A beautiful piece Vikki. And a very interesting story, I think we Westerners tend to underestimate the benefits of meditation or otherwise quietening our too-busy minds.
Gosh your style of photogrpahy has changed!! love thisshot- hope Ross does too. Sorry to read about your vertigo, hope the mindfullness meditatin continues to work its magic
