i can't tell you what this is about because i don't know. perhaps for the song title challenge, but i'm not sure anymore. i took the photo of the dolls because i was desperate as i can't think of anything to post and i was lazy to go through the archives. the dolls were handy and i just added the bamboo and the little swallow just to see how it would turn out. but it's late and i could no longer open my eyes for much longer -- i already got a rude awakening when i hit my head on the edge of the monitor.
Needless to say, this caught my attention, even at 5:30 in the morning! The opening (and repeated) bars of the music is what I associate as "Chinese" so it was funny to me. And since I'm Japanese, the idea of someone turning Japanese (and that there's a song about it) is fun, and reminds me of David Mura's book, "Turning Japanese: Memoirs of a Sansei." Those modern kokeshi dolls are completely Japanese! So fun.
I also nod off in front of the computer!
