where are the children? by summerfield

where are the children?

the trees are starting to come to life, with their limpid branches sprouting buds. the days are definitely getting longer but i just wish it would rain less. or maybe rain during the night and let us enjoy beautiful weather during the day.

this is the playground of the little school attached to the church. i was waiting for the easter dinner to start and noticed the shadows of the trees the golden sunshine cast on the ground. it looks so pristine but doesn't look right without even a single child playing, doesn't it?

it has been a busy last few days but i'm glad to report that my taxes have been done and mailed, just a few days before the deadline. i've been so pooped that i actually haven't looked at my emails and have missed a couple of days with my posting.
A lovely shot and scene, you are right about the missing children! Maybe they have grown out of playgrounds ;-)

I really like this image - it reminds me of a miniature village scene. Wonderful tones too.

Someone has been there because they've left a ball behind. Perhaps they've all been called inside:)

Beautiful light on this barren playground. Before you know it it will be filled with children I am certain.

Glad you have your taxes done. Perhaps you can rest a bit now

Since you're waiting for dinner, they probably are too.

Lovely warm colours. I'm sure this scene calls for a story Vikki.

I do hope that golden sunshine comes around to revive you and nourish you after all that hard grafting. The abandoned ball in your scene starts to make up for the missing children playing - they will be back I am sure.
