finally met @jyukota and @domenicododaro and his lovely wife and pretty daughter. after a long ride on chicago's 'ell' to get to junko's accompanied by my niece, jill, i got there. we had a fantastic get-to-know-you conversation over champagne and we decided later on to have a small dinner at a place called 'the lucky platter'.
on the way home we were to do some grocery shopping but junko drove us first to see the temple which was just a five-minute drive from her digs. there was a waxing crescent moon and i thought it would be nice to get to a vantage point to get the temple and the moon together. the temple looked grand and its carvings magnificent against the blue hour skies. when we were parking the car, there was a tinge of pink in among those clouds but had quickly disappeared. 'tis a good start though to a much-anticipated meet up.
i forgot what the schedule is tomorrow but i expect we will be going downtown to photograph chicago's old skyscrapers.
