this pan had been on the side of the road going to the don mills bus stop for ages! i first saw it right side up about half a block from the corner and that was in april when i went for my shot. obviously nobody wants it or it would've disappeared a long time ago. yesterday, when i passed by it, it was almost near the corner. i'd like to see it move to the middle of the six-lane don mills and hear the racket it would make bouncing from one direction to the other. then we can perhaps call it the "flying pan".
another thought i had was that it probably belonged to one of the residents around the vicinity. someone must've gone tired of his wife hitting his head with this thing whenever he comes home drunk. i know, cliché, but the one stark realization is that: are our city workers/cleaners really that lazy not to be picking up this garbage?
@louannwarren - no, it wasn't cast iron. it's one of those non-stick pans that got left on the stove until the food turned to coal. it really looked bad.
@marlboromaam - no stranger than a whole toilet and tank left on the sidewalk. haha!
What a unique looking subject for you that invites an fascinating narrative as well. I feel there is a story in it for you somewhere! I would love to read it!
