door #17
so, march ends and like january and february before it, it will just be a blurry memory for most of us. well, the upside is it is just 9 months (give or take a few days) before Christmas. with the weird weather not justifying the start of the spring season, we might as well think of pleasant things like Christmas.
and to close this month on the theme of doors and windows, i give you door #17. this is quite different from the other doors i have photographed although it also is of heavy solid wood (i would not pretend to know what wood) with round toprail. the top part of the door has a glass insert. there is a wicker chair that enhanced the look of the outside of this house and the only bummer is the stark white bay windows that did not at all go with the overall make up of the house.
and much contrary to my principle of not revealing where my subject is situated, the number sign of the house reveals the address. i could have probably done something to hide it, but i'm afraid it just might take away from the over all look.
i said too much already. well, goodbye march, welcome april.
