i don't know why people do that - tossing pennies into the fountain. do they make a wish when they do? and do they really believe it will come true?
in any case, the drive to carol stream, illinois is uneventful albeit for some spots where we encountered more than pissy rain. and it's too cold and too damp not to mention too windy to even attempt to go around and shoot. maybe tomorrow. for today, i will post one that i took last week and didn't have the opportunity to post. this is a fountain near the st. lawrence market. this is also my first attempt at photographing "live" water. this one looks like inverted icicles.
another great photo...and yes, icicles come to mind :-) I also posted 'live' water today so there must have been something about cold and damp (and not watching the wedding)
