on february 2, i posted this lamp all snowed over http://365project.org/summerfield/365/2011-02-02 but giorgio's has now moved elsewhere and a patisserie is taking over the place. the cakes on the posters look good, like the ones you see in those expensive glossy magazines. they re-did the patio floor and methinks they're ready to open anytime soon. since this is just two buildings away from me, i can picture myself becoming a fixture in there, because i just love cakes and pastries. 'tis a good thing the warm weather has started then i can do my long walks/jogs after (or before) i stuff myself with cakes and other goodies from this shop.
i cropped the bottom of the photograph using picnik and whilst there, i rounded the corners. it's all the processing i'm comfortable doing.
@slang - it is indeed; and when you and the family find your way around here, look me up and i'll treat you guys to a nice round of pastries. my way of thanking you for you "convincing" me with that picnik thingie.
how neat and clean are the streets in your neighbourhood! it is like a film set :-) the patisserie sounds lovely and I hope you enjoy all those lush cakes and pastries
@patticake - it is. the danforth is for the most part a very clean stretch of street. there's a lot of restaurants, as it used to be toronto's greektown, but now japanese and african restaurants are coming in full force, too. the problems mostly are the dog walkers who would not pick up after their pets. but 99% of the time the area is clean, even the side streets. if you find yourself around here, too, come and visit.
