at the time the trees framing this shot were full of leaves, the grass were green and plenty, the marina was full of boats moored for the day, the ducks were all over the water and the sky was the perfect blue for a mid-summer end of day.
what a difference a season makes. now everything is bare, the boats wrapped up for the cold winter days, the water is covered in thin ice relegating the ducks to the small portion of the water, rippled by the cold wind.
but the days have started to last longer, first by the second, then by the minute, and soon there will be spring and all these will come to life once again.
As I sit by my little space heater, I'm so glad to be reminded that warmer weather is coming. This is beautiful . . in all seasons. Each one has their own lighting and tonal qualities. Love the lighting and reflections on this one, summerfield. Still . . I'm ready for warmer weather. (Would like a good snow for some photos yet . . but nothing.)
@cscecil - ah, CS, you flatter me so. but look at this photo, there's no colour except for the reflection of the sunset on the clouds and the blue tarp. it looks like selective colouring! thank you, CS.
@bkbinthecity - but first there has to be a big snowstorm. it can't be winter without one! not a devastating one, just enough so we can shoot photos! thank you, brian.
@slang - sc as in selective colouring? 'fraid not. it's just so bleak due to heavy clouds and it was too late in the date so quite dark, too. thank you, sean.
@catsmeowb - as i told terry, i'm waiting for the snow so i can have a snowy version! thank you, camille.
@msk1p2 - thank you, sandra. i see you're trying to shoot the moon!
