i had a dinner meeting with my book editor and no matter how hungry i was, i didn't forget to take a pic of my food. this is the only thing exciting for me today: grilled basa fillet encrusted with ground roasted pistachio nuts served with grilled sweet potato wedges and roasted vegetables. a healthy, tasteful and delicious meal. it may not look that appealing here but i assure you it was very tasty and the plate was cleaned of the last crumb. yummy!
thank you, folks, for your comments and views. i shall catch up with yours as soon as the chaos (busy at work) tapers down a bit hopefully before the weekend.
@olivetreeann - thank you, ann. i write mainly short stories (fiction, of course :-)); i met this lady twelve years ago when my first two stories were included in an anthology. she usually makes a cursory edit of my first drafts.
Well . . if you don't mind, I'll have a little taste of that. Wow, does that ever look and sound good to me. And your photo only makes it look better. Thanks for sharing that with us (and torturing us!) summerfield. LOL Congrats on that book (short story?) my friend. You're a multi-talented lady! :)
your photo is fantastic, the description just makes it better and better. ooohhhh, i think i might try to make this! book editor - oooh, you so impress me.
@patticake - patti, being near the water, do you get a lot of seafood around there? this was really good. and yes, i could also try my own take of this dish. when you come to toronto, i shall make you my signature dish of grilled salmon trout with brown rice and mushroom topping, served over mesclun leaves and mandarin dressing. ooh-la-lah! or i can also make that when i come visit portobello. i have a good friend in the office who happens to be from portobello, would you believe it? thank you, patti.
