at niagara falls last holiday monday, caught this family as they crossed the road. partner was quite taken by the triplets in their little carts being hauled by their father. i waited until they have made it to my side to take a shot so the children's faces would not be seen on camera. but we loved the little pink hats, the red shirts and their colourful carts. there were a teenaged girl behind the yellow cart and a much older woman, probably the grandmother, behind the blue cart but i had to clone them out just so the viewer's focus is on the children. then processed it silly so you don't get to see my sloppy processing.
@netkonnexion - thank you, damon. i needed to have the focus just on the three girls and their wagon. it was a busy picture so people had to be cloned out. then the greens were competing with the kids so i decided selective colouring is the solution.
@alia_801 - thank you, alia. the kids were kind of cool and oblvious; they were just enjoying their magical ride.
@sarasdadandmom - thank you, terry. they were very cute, too, but i had to adhere to my personal policy of no stranger children, at least not the faces.
@myhrhelper - wow, thank you, kathy. someone told me my photos are all so cliché and that i should try to find different pov's when i take photos. glad i'm starting to have an 'edge' yay! i should be able to do the CSC from the first challenge on the weekend. that's my plan, at least. i'll tag you then. thanks again.
Wonderful pov and selective coloring! (I have no idea how one clones objects out of a pic!) Lovely capture of Dad ... and adorable babes. They must be a handful!!
@karenann - thank you, KA. i use the 'paint' program that came with the laptop. you basically copy a piece of (in this case) the road to cover the part you want to take out. you want to see the original? hehehehe. you can see my sloppy work at the top of the girl on the very left, the island is askew. i'm not really good with this thing but if i 'soften' the image then most times nobody would know something was taken out. see here how much i've cropped and what images were cloned out: http://one-photograph-a-day.blogspot.ca/2012/07/triplets.html
Girlfriend ... I love the original too! ALOT! Gorgeous pov and lighting there. Love the little parade of people AND even like the part of car that's in there. Whew ... that's beautiful.
i love this shot, so cute! i am with karenann on this, can't clone to save my life. every time i attempt it, i get big holes in my shots. jason showed me how but it was a 2 second demo and i did not take notes. i need to tell him - hey, mom is old now, slow down.
@roth - thank you, sue. glad you like it.

@pandorasecho - thank you, dixie. i'm glad you like it.
