yes, folks, -21 celcius; with the nasty blowing wind (thanks very much, you guys in texas for that's where that weird weather came from!) it felt more like -35. and that was during the better part of the day!
the pavement is solid ice. on monday it took me 15 minutes to walk to the subway when on normal days it'll take me about 5 or 7 minutes. on this day, tuesday, it took me 25 minutes even with my ugly heavy boots. halfway through the short long walk, my knees felt the effect of the cold and when i reached the subway station, they were so red and bordering on being frost-bitten. yeah, i could've worn pants, but i opted to be boneheaded and wore skirt and stockings. or i shouldn't have dithered along taking photos. duh!
in any case, i used the AE lock button and kind of pleased that i got the sky's colour as it was despite the bright sunshine. normally i'd get something like washed out clouds. my street is not the best subject but it's been crappy after this until today.
thank you, katie, @archaeofrog for hosting the camera settings challenge. much appreciated.
That is an awesome blue sky! And hey we aren't responsible for the weird weather! We even got into the negative temps this week so brrrrrrrrrr I feel for you and stop being boneheaded an dress like a polar bear before we have to come and defrost you!
@archaeofrog - i'm slowly getting interested in the inner workings. i still don't understand a lot, the body's willing the mind is not, kind of. :-) thank you.
