The Whooper Swan is a winter visitor to the UK from Iceland. It is an Amber listed bird. We don't get them here in Wales, in fact I don't think I've ever seen one before, but on our way back from the Lake District we stopped at Martin Mere, a Wetland Centre in Lancashire where lots of swans and geese were arriving for the winter.
