Kingfisher

I watched this kingfisher for ages hopping from perch to perch and took loads of photos. Unfortunately the camera just wouldn't focus on it mainly because of the reeds blowing about and all my pictures were blurred except this one. I was disappointed.

It was taken at Lakenheath Fen in Suffolk.

The Kingfisher has many symbolic meanings. " calmness on troubled waters",warmth, prosperity, love.
Try not to be disappointed. To me there is so mch to admire in this photo. The strong blues, the soft turn of the head. I like it.

We've not seen a kingfisher for a long time. Lucky you. Such a striking colour.
