Heron

Taken at Nant Yr Arian Red Kite Feeding Centre.

We were there to see the red kites but I was rather taken with this beautiful heron.

Heron's are beautiful and I am slightly obesessesd with photographing them but I have heard that they are very nasty predators and, the much larger and heavier Canada geese, at our local pond, seem to avoid annoying them and back off whenever the herons give them attitude.
