@susiemc I have never been to Martin Mere Sue, I know where it is as my friends husband worked there years ago but have never had the inclination to go yet. I think as we have been involved with animals & cows seven days a week, it was just another nature thing, visiting a city was more a change for us. All different now though so I should go!

@chimfa I hadn't until a year ago. . We were in a B&B in the Lake District and we heard on the local news that 'The Pink Footed Geese have arrived at Martin Mere'. We'd never been to Martin Mere but we knew it wasn't far off our route home so we went to see them and then we went again this year. They come to the UK every winter but only to a very few places.
