Common Swallowtail by susiemc

Common Swallowtail

Contrary to what it's name suggests, this butterfly is far from common. It is confined to a few Norfolk fens. This is because the plant on which the catterpillars feed, milk parsley, only grows in those areas. We saw a few while we were there and felt very priviledged.
A delightful capture Sue ! - isn't she a beauty (nearly forgetting the little bee !)
