Juvenile Rook by susiemc

Juvenile Rook

Rooks have been nesting in some tall trees just beyond our fence and now there are lots of youngsters about. Rooks can be identified by the white at the base of their bill which actually makes the whole bill look white. However, juveniles have completely black bills.

A beauty.

Cool capture. I get easily confused between rooks, ravens, and crows so the white beak seems like a good differentiating factor.
