Can you tell I went to the Beaver Island Toy Museum this weekend?
This is the mushroom that I featured in my monochrome photo on Saturday. In her comment, Catherine Pace said, "yes, this mushroom has thrived on constant attention and admiration - i hope you dont neglect it now that you have got what you want from it!!" I laughed and read the comment to Jim, who thought I should post a photo of the chopped up mushrooms we were going to have in our fajitas tonite. But, I thought Catherine was right and decided to give it a chance to star in another image before it fades away.
oh!!! and you gave it friends!!! ha ha ha - perfect - i think you have fulfilled your side of the partnership now (talking of partnerships - i see your has a markedly dark side!)
Oh, I was at my father's gardens (he lives in a senior community where they have their own gardens) Sunday and all along the paths were these "faery scenes".....oh, I loved them. This reminds me of it! :)
@sugarmuser Thanks so much Sharon! @rafaseno Aw, Rafa, we didn't really eat the star of two of my photos! @hjbenson I think they're trying to get over to the toadstool in your photo! @tonygig@katerinatina Thanks Tony and Katarina! @pamknowler He is very funny -- in a dry sense of humor way. Make me laugh. @amrita21@aprilmilani Glad to have made you smile or laugh Amrita and April! @genesis_one Ah--so the alien was after my mushroom?? Hadn't thought of that but will check on it. That would explain it slowly expiring! @kwind@anazad511@pflaume Thanks Kim, Ana, and Lisa!
@eyesmile Thanks! It could be edible, but the thing is, on the island, we know some can be fatal, so it's never worth the risk. @jankoos@steampowered@paulaw Thanks Jan, Paul, and Paula for seeing and liking the silliness of the shot. @susale@jetpics@brav Thanks Susale, Jeannette and Richard! I'm glad you liked it.
@olivetreeann Thanks Ann! The Toy Museum here has an unbelievable array of these kinds of toys for five cents through a few dollars. As well as museum quality old toys hanging from the ceiling and on display. I had fun with the grandkids picking up props while they picked out their birthday presents.
@northy Aw thanks! Going with my grandkids gave me an excuse to buy all these dumb little things. Will be fun to play with on a rainy day (as in play with to photograph of course).
Check out Harry Benson's photo from today...great minds thinking alike! http://365project.org/hjbenson/365/2013-06-17 @hjbenson
