Taken in Lincoln Park looking south toward the city. You can see the skyline peeking from behind the trees, the tallest being Chicago's John Hancock building. Taken during the golden hour on Sunday as I was leaving the zoo. I was trying to capture the contrast of natural and architectural elements.

@shepherdmanswife Thanks SW! Yes, I used three bracketed photos combined to create a single image. I find that while I don't like extreme HDR processing, it is so helpful when the lighting is strikingly different from sky to ground. And it does up the details that come through.
@shepherdmanswife I downloaded plug-ins that work with Aperture, LightRoom, etc. called Nik Suite. In that is HDR Efex. It's quite intuitive -- not that hard to figure out at all. And once you get the hang of the presets, the sliders are easy to figure out.
You always make the city look so lovely...even in the middle of winter. The lighting and composition are just so perfect! Love that leaning tree..almost looks as though it is falling. Stay warm today..here you are in for another round of bitter cold an snow!! FAV
@danielwsc Weird, isn't it? I think the wind cuts across there so strongly that between the wind and the trees, the snow didn't accumulate. Because just at the edge by the street, it's several inches.
Wonderful photo. I love the golden hour and if I had my way or could drive I would be out there during it at places I want to photograph. So nicely done. FAV
