First, many thanks to your responses to yesterday's images of Danbo and of my experiments with the snow-covered bench. Danbo's safari was a moderate success -- not many people in the wild, but they made it back fine, but a little cold.
This shot is from a photo walk today with Junko @jyokota and Daniel @danielwsc and Annette @anwan. We had a fun (if frozen fingers and toes) day meeting for lunch, photographing the parade, snacking on egg tarts at a bakery, and following the dragons as they visited the shops after the parade. This shot was taken at the start of the parade led by two of these dragons and several of a different style. Check out Penny's album: http://365project.org/pennyp/365/2014-02-02 for a very similar dragon in the Liverpool parade.

Chinese dragons are so colorful and fun! Sounds like you had a good time celebrating. Last night there was a New Year festival at our hotel - complete with dancing dragons but I missed it because I was on the beach watching the sky change color. So glad to see your dragon shot!
This is so beautiful!! I love the dragon dances, and all the Chinese New Year festivities...not much of it going on here! A couple of years ago we were in Hong Kong for the Year of the Dragon, and we waited forever in the freezing cold for the parade.....and, it was so worth it!
@michaelelliott Thanks Michael. It was so nice to have something colorful to photograph for a change. We are under a blanket of snow and there's more coming tomorrow! Can't wait for next week! Looks like Tuesday may be sunny!
@pamknowler Thanks Pam! It as so much fun photographing with three other 365ers! I had taken my telephoto and at first regretted it, but I ended up in the end being happy with the results.
Very nice! D and I were discussing how distracting that For Rent sign was in many of our better shots, but there's really nowhere else we could have stood that was as good as there (until we either get press passes or become VIPS!). You got the dragon right when it was covering it up!
Thanks for a GREAT day today. I hope you've warmed up!! I've tagged you in the other photo too.
Thanks so much for viewing and commenting. I appreciate it!
