The sky was amazing tonight after the days of gray skies and snow covered ground. So, while not wise, I put on my heaviest boots and climbed the snow-filled stairs to the rooftop, carefully holding both railings so I wouldn't fall. It was worth it -- I have sky shots to use over the week if I need a dose of color with more storms coming in tomorrow. These icicles were hanging from our satellite dish, sort of framing the setting sun.

I took a picture right then, too! No icicles on our balcony though. I thought it was going to develop to be as great as last night's sunset, but nope. It was still lovely, and your icicle framing was a great idea.
OK this is a strange thing to notice, but I thought you might enjoy knowing. On the main screen of the program Alexis made to keep track of popular page pics there is a search box and several other pieces of information...one being the person with the most popular pics since the inception of the program. It has been Kat from the beginning, but that beautiful icicle pic of yours just put you in the lead! Check it out... http://alexisbirkill.com/365project/popularpage/
@luvmynynix Oh gosh! That is really something I'd never have expected! So weird as to me it feels like so many others are on it quite often and I wouldn't see myself in their league. Thanks for pointing it out. I'm sure it won't last long, but it's exciting to think that my photos have been so well received. I didn't know Alexis was tracking this until you pointed it out, though I did know he had that link for us (I'd never read the print!). 365 has been such a supportive and encouraging place -- here's one more example!!
How lovely this is, the perfect DoF and sunset colours and then the wonderfully in focus icicles glinting in the light, a great shot. All we have is high winds and rain, definitely nothing worth photographing!
Congrats on TT Taffy, I missed this one. Fabulous shot and sounds a bit hair-raising having to go up on the roof. Love the sunset colours reflected in the icicles.
