A bit of over the top processing to capture the feel of the scene rather than the reality of a pretty gray day. Used solarization filter after creating an HDR from 4 images. For fun as I couldn't think of anything better and didn't really have something I was that excited about posting, so decided to just play while watching this season's first episode of Mad Men.
Lovely composition of this piece of your beautiful city but, may I say, over processed for my taste...and that is purely personal taste...and therefor I cannot comment on the technical and photographic aspects... :)
I really do like the processing you did to this - really created a neat effect for the scene. Particularly like the blue tones on the top third. The crispness is perfect.
Love the steely blue tones. When I was in San Francisco I was struck by the almost menacing feel of your towering city buildings in the States and that is what this reminds me of. I guess it's like that in Chicago too.
...OH DRAT!...I missed the opening of Mad Men & I was waiting for that!!! OK...got that out of my system...
I love the "boxy" sense of the buildings here...though they're not the sort I typically associate with this city along the river. As always, your photos are magic! It's time for us to leave, but I'll be watching for all you share here!
@pflaume Lisa, your comments always mean a lot to me. Many thanks! And HDR is so much fun -- just hard to control -- easy to do but harder for me to know when to stop.
@amrita21 Thanks for stopping by and all your comments today! I always appreciate it. Your processing is all so perfect I'm surprised that you also wonder when to stop!
