Cat is master to stepson and daughter-in-law for the past 18 years. Once a wild cat, now he mostly sleeps in warm spots. He roused his head when we visited tonight, but only briefly, to look at my camera and make clear he saw no need for me to photograph him.
Thank you for your comments and favs on The Hand. It's in quite a busy spot so quite safe...but I wouldn't have wanted to go inside!
This old boy reminds me of a Tom Cat that lived at our house in the 70s. he too was black and white, my dad picked him up of the street as a kitten and he was nobodies fool. Great shot of this fella, Love it.
What a LOOK ! That cat has mastered the art of communicating with a look. @vankrey might have to add this look to his repertoire when teaching high schoolers!
How lovely to see a once-wild-cat in a happy home setting. I marvel at good photos of cats and small children...both seem to have jettisoned off of their trajectory in my sphere...
Sweet sweet old man.well loved and beautifully photographed!Talk about impossible to challenge!Ugh! OK...see if this makes sense.I love your eye for architecture...you have a way of making buildings and structures look organic .You capture all the curves ,textures and details and create a compelling composition. So my challenge to you is to do this on a much smaller scale.Looking at the details of a building and creating a composition from one small area.If that makes no sense at all let me know!
@mzzhope Oh, I love this idea!! I haven't done much like this at all, and so many buildings here have quite amazing details. I'm already running through buildings in my mind and am excited to head to those with my zoom instead of wide angle!! Thanks for the push...we'll see what comes out of it.
A wonderful capture and love that you caught his expression. He does look very tired. He has had a wonderful full life I am sure so no wonder he is tired. Hope he has lots of sunbeams to enjoy.!
I confess, I too would've gone ahead and taken the picture even tho it meant disturbing the old guy. There are some opportunities you just shouldn't pass up.
