Life of a Hollyhock Flower by taffy

Life of a Hollyhock Flower

From Narita, Japan, but could be anywhere. @jyokota and I did a morning walk on a street lined with these flowers. It was just beautiful.
Trying to get June completed before July 1 hits!
Beautiful! But it looks like a hollyhock (one of my favorites!) rather than honeysuckle. FAV in any case.

Love the unfolding story in the collage

@snowy I know next to nothing about flowers, so am only going by what someone called it. Could it be a hibiscus? Or something entirely different? I thought it was pretty...maybe should change the title?
June 27th, 2014
@snowy Oops...it isn't -- it's a hollyhock!! I had it right in the narrative and wrong in the title!
June 27th, 2014
@mcsiegle ABsolutely right!! I had it right in the narrative and wrong in the title. At least I had one starting with /h/!

Could even be in my garden! Very pretty collage. Which software do you use for your collages?

Sweet images in this collage - so nice to see
June 27th, 2014
@dolphin Thanks Molly! I use picmonkey.com -- it has a collage choice and it's quite intuitive to figure out.
June 27th, 2014
Ah, that's nice! Life of a flower from start to finish!
June 27th, 2014
@taffy Thanks, Taffy. I've been using Picasa, but find it quite restrictive.

I love these types of collages, they tell wonderful stories.

Lovely collage showing the different stages of the flower
June 27th, 2014
Wonderful sequence shot! You've shown the stages so well!
June 27th, 2014
@dolphin I used picassa for awhile too but think picmonkey's is much better. You can flip around their basic designs and also add boxes or delete them to make it your own. If you have any questions, just let me know.

@ithinkithunk @777margo @golftragic @888rachel Thanks for taking the time to comment on this posting. It was fun creating it from different images I'd taken on the walk, which is why one is a little lighter than the others. I didn't have a dark one at that stage. So I appreciate your kind words!
