Before totally moving into July, I wanted to fill in a few empty spots in June. This was taken from the front seat of the monorail between Tokyo and Odaiba Island. It was wild riding in the front. Processed in b&w with the fortnight b&w theme in mind.
Wonderfully strong leading lines Taffy, and particularly effective in accentuating the curve in the tracks - departing into the distance right on one of the thirds lines. B&W works very well in strengthening the lines too.
What a great seat to have! b&w is perfect for this.
The BBC news has just broadcast the spectacular lighting strikes over Chicago, WOW! What a photo opportunity!
This is such a great and clever image...all the parallels running into the picture, but instead of converging in the distances, it curves to the right and disappears! It works so well in B&W that I am not even interested in seeing what the colour version looked like! Great shot and fav!
I had to look at this image full screen to confirm it was all sharp, simply because the pattern strongly gives the impression of movement and I was expecting blur.
@pixiemac The storm was quite amazing apparently -- I'm in Michigan for the summer so missed it, but thousands are without power, flights were delayed or cancelled, it was taking 8 hours to get through the floodwaters to get to the airport from the city, huge swarms of mosquitoes have hatched...poor city! What a mess to straighten out! Good thing you visited earlier!!
