On really hot and humid afternoons, someone in our neighborhood opens the hydrant for kids to play in. Taken with my lensbaby at f2.8, processed in Color Efex.
Thank you to all who had commented and fav'd my b&w arches (Where I Saw the Rodent) shot and the Starry Starry Night one -- finding them this morning on the Top Twenty list was a wonderful surprise, spanning Beaver Island and Chicago, and the starry night one where I tried something brand new. Very exciting and much much appreciated!
What a Blast! Great choice of lens, gives the shot a cool, misty quality! Fav! Special thanks for your support, comments and encouragement over this past year. I love seeing the images you post and am always inspired by your creativity and photo skills!
Congratulations on the TT appearances. So well deserved, I was very happy to see them there. This looks amazing, the mood is beautiful. And one of my useful tools at work too :)
You make using a Lensbaby look easy. (I get the feeling it's honestly not.) If Chicago's weather is anything like it is here in the middle of the state, the hydrants won't need to be turned on today. A jacket is almost necessary!
@lyndemc At least the humidity has lessened! And we can have windows and doors open. So, not cool, but certainly more pleasant! Thanks for the visit and comment!
@rachelwithey Thanks so much for the fav, Rachel. Have been back to studying some of your high key and blurred shots for working with some images I took yesterday while on my urban hike. As always, thanks for your indirect inspiration and guidance!
thanks very much @taffy , that's a lovely thing to say. I'm not managing to be as active on the site as I would like at the moment but I'll look out for some high key blur from you!
