Jim took me to brunch as a 'send-off' date this morning, so I'd be fortified for packing and catching the flight tonight (I'm at the airport and boarding soon for flights that will eventually land me in Cairns, Australia). He had to map out quite a route to get to the restaurant, because of the Chicago Marathon and numbers of blocked streets. We ended up parking on the street where this art project is located -- graffiti painted in blocks by various groups -- this section shares the theme of animals and may be connected to the zoo. Not sure, though.
Have a good week everyone and I'll look forward to posting and viewing as I can over the next few weeks.
Beautiful graffiti! Never thought I would say that! Have a safe journey and a brilliant time especially the bits between work! What will Jim do without you? I assumed he was going too! You do live an exciting life Taffy!
Wonderful graffiti and have a great trip - if you get a chance while in the Cairns area visit Kuranda and do the sky/rail trip - I loved Hartley Crocidile Adventures too haha
@annied Thanks for the leads! I've just arrived and have a lovely view of the harbor from my hotel. Work starts tomorrow but I may have some time on Sunday for some sightseeing -- I hope! What a beautiful area here!
This is a great shot, Taffy. I love the angle you shot this at of the street art on these walls. How nice of your husband to take you out and go through all that to get to this place. Have a great time in Australia. I look forward to your photos.
Safe travels Taffy.
Great shot!
