On the Outside Looking In

Current stop on my Australian adventures brings me to Adelaide. I'm visiting a friend, colleague, and former graduate student who now teaches at the university here. Silver @silver_fox was our gracious host yesterday (Wednesday) evening on a terrific photo walk all over the city as night fell. Thanks to him, I have a good sense of the downtown central district, the wonderful architecture throughout the city, and a bit of background on the city as well. I also have hundreds of photos to go through! This was taken down one of the many side streets on our way to the Festival Centre area. Another shot from at the Festival Centre, on the plaza is:

I love this Taffy! I love that you can see the light of the glass but you can't really see very well inside. I love all the textures in this class you have would you have Rick and probably concrete. I love all of the lines, the lines in the brick, the lines on the walls or siding and especially the lines on the windows. There is definitely a lot to see in this one photograph.

The tones and pov make it look like something from a rather odd dream. Don't get me wrong - I really like it!

Wonderful perspective on this! Love all the lines of the brick, the stones, and the mullions in the windows....I can totally see why you were drawn to this!

So this is a night shot? Great perspective and artistic use of the wide angle lens, all complimented by your extremely steady hand!

I tried to capture a lit church window here recently and failed miserably. I need to study the setting because I'd like to try again. Love how the light softly spills onto the sill.

love the wierd angles here. This one could double in both pretty and the creepy categories.

@ericdibosco More of a golden hour -- but in an alley where the light had gone and there was a golden bluish glow.

@ericdibosco And thanks for the kind comment on my steady hand!! Only 5 more days left of travel and then home and hoping to catch up on Beyond 365 too.

An awesome photo and cool angle of this window, Taffy. Love your processing too. Learning a lot from your photos that you do not have to include the entire building. FAV
