From the Driehaus Museum exhibit of the Downton Abbey costumes. Lady Edith took up a bicycle to help one of the tenant farmers during during WWI. I thought her hands looked so elegant in her fine leather gloves.
Thank you for your lovely comments about this exhibit! And for no spoilers from those of you who have finished the series.
Very busy time at the moment...will be able to comment I hope over the weekend. Some days it doesn't feel like I'm semi-retired!
Another one from the exhibit - http://365project.org/taffy/the-also-ran-ph/2016-02-18
I love those old bicycles with the basket on the front! Lovely capture with great processing! You sound so busy in your semi- retirement Taffy! Are you sure you will have time for us? I will feel guilty if I take you away from work! Lol! Fav for this lovely image!
Great pov, , detail and clarity , love how the light reflects on the weave of the basket and the smoothness of her fine leather gloves . Such a lovely blast from the past and beautifully captured in B/W -- FAV
What a super shot. I must admit that I haven't seen any of the Downton Abbey series (I haven't seen any television for twenty years since we threw our t.v. out)
I really like the way you've framed this shot Taffy. Plenty of interesting stuff to study, but ample opportunity to join the dots in whatever way you like.
Great composition!
Fav. :-)
