Last image of the library staircase from Dominican University. Thank you so much for putting the spiral version of it, looking up, into TT this week. Very much appreciated.
Wishing everyone an enjoyable weekend!
I see something interesting everywhere I look! I'm especially drawn to the books in the background. After admiring the staircase, I'd head right over there and get lost for hours. :-) Fantastic capture, Taffy!
Stunning lines, curved and straight in this shot. The b&w shows the patterns of the stair treads very well. Great pov to capture the view down the stacks too. Fav.
Wonderful B&W image Taffy - so much to look at! Fab lines and curves and such clarity right though the shot. I always look at your Exif and here I must ask was this taken on a tripod? Is this HDR? Processing so natural it doesn't look HDR. If my Canon was on Iso 200 at F/7.1 I would not have got a clear shot right through to the back. Hope you don't mind me asking? Just trying to get to grips with architectural shots of which you are the master! Lol! Fav!
@pamknowler Thanks for the kind words, as always! For this one, I think it was on the tripod as we had permission to use those throughout. But with my 14-24, it is such an amazing lens with good stabilization that if I support myself in any way (leaning on a desk here, for example), it could have been handheld. I can do handheld with it down to 1/10. This one also was HDR, but processed in Nik to not look like HDR - to go as naturally as possible, and using HDR largely to sort out the range of lighting (stacks versus sunlight streaming in from the window above and to the right).
