Junko and I have just returned from a packed photo trip to China, making the most of our 6 days to tour of Xi'an and Yangshuo/Guilin. We watched the election on the flight home, so are avoiding all political thoughts by processing hundreds of photos today. This is one from our tour of Xi'an City our first full day. Many more shots to come (apologies in advance!) - we were lucky with weather and very fortunate in our choices of guides to work with and hotels! Junko is posting a shot from the brilliant red gates that form the entry to the area (with me standing in front of it): http://365project.org/jyokota/365/2016-11-03
Great sense of the height of the wall by showing the steps leading to the top, and I love how you processed this . . . your use of selective color really pops the characteristic red lanterns you see in China.
Wow, looking forward to many more shots from your trip. I follow Leana Neiman who is on a bicycle tour of the far east and she posts some extraordinary shots both on this site and on Facebook. Those steps look so steep. Beautiful capture in b&w.
@skstein Thanks Sandy! Yep, we climbed them, walked around on the top, and then headed back down. We just took our time and it wasn't that bad, really.
