Thank you for your kind thoughts about our being stranded by fog. It turned out to be a lovely extra day on the island and we had a beautiful flight across Lake Michigan and an easy drive back to Chicago. Junko had picked up my repaired computer and I spent time tonight getting everything from the loaner transferred and my computer updated. LR is working well again, as far as I can tell, all my files are now together, and all feels right with the world! This image is of the southeast coast of Beaver Island –the land is still visibly brown and wintry, while the lake is pretending to be warm and inviting (but we all know better!). It's the last bit of land before flying over Lake Michigan to Charlevoix (a 15 minute flight, 2 hour ferry), the nearest mainland town.
The scene also fits the current technique challenge - birds eye view.
Glad you made the most of your extra day! What a beautiful sight! Love the colour of the lake! Lovely patterns in the water. Let's hope it looks like this next week - no fog please - and no delays to our flight please! Lol! Fav!
What a beautiful place, I love the colour of the water and the tiny lines of the wave crests. Glad you escaped in the end - you can have real food now instead of just cereal!
