A beautiful inland meadow from yesterday's hike. We'd hoped to see wildlife, but only saw a duck family and some dragonflies. Still, a very pretty area and one I'd never been to in over 25 summers here!
This is lovely, the focus is so beautiful. There is so much to see around my area that I haven't checked out, it's funny how we don't go see the sites that are close!
Beautiful. I saw the comments above and wondered if cattails were what in the UK they call bulrushes and I see a comment above saying that. My Mum had a vase of bulrushes with other dried flowers in the hallway of our house when we were children, so bulrushes always remind me of her.
I love this - I really like the way you have positioned w.r.t the lovely soft background. And the way cattail (we call them bullrushes) is so neutral - but still the star!!
@shepherdmanswife Yes, definitely used textures on this in two ways...one was using light leaks to bring out the sections where the sun was highlight. They were more dull than I thought they should have been. Added some textures but made opacity quite low. Then, did some cloning using very light opacity and flow as the left side needed some interest added.
Haven't heard the name "cattail" before. I've always just called those grass or rushes. Lovely name and sweet perspective.
