Taken from the window of one of my neighbors who faces the opposite direction. She had invited me since they have a birds eye view of this 48 story building going up. Can you find the worker? And I think our balcony is scary!
OMG!!! No way would I be up on that ledge, far too scary not to mention downright dangerous. Fantastic shot, as per usual. And a very interesting perspective on the building under construction, a pov rarely attainable. Love the birds-eye view of the city too.
I see him, only just, but what a great image! How cool that your neighbour thought about giving you the chance of a view from this perspective. That will be an interesting tower when it's finished.
OMG no way could I be up on that open side of the building! This will be an interesting skyscraper but I think it’s a good job it’s on the other side of your building as it does interrupt the distant view! Nice of your neighbours to let you get a shot of their view!
Stunning , huge . As for finding the worker - there are two possibilities !! - on the base of the blue band and on the upright structure of the crane a bit lower down !
Talk about invasion of space, Your poor neighbour has definitely had the view ruined. A local celebrity steeplejack Fred Dibnah had no fear of heights. He died a number of years ago aged 66 after suffering from cancer for three years. He was a real character and became quite famous because of his work. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3R3-YwDZrzg
Yes I see him! Yikes, I hate it when David's working on a roof let alone having him on one of those sites! Good thing you don't have to look at that each day.
I don't think they could pay me enough to work on the building. Standing on a balcony, ok. I'm sure the neighbour can't be thrilled that her view is spoiled.
Wonderful construction capture of the building of the high rise.
Wondering about the bottom part before the blue part, all the different patterns almost looks like a puzzle, is that the finished look?
I can barely look at it without getting the butterflies in my stomach so he doesn't have to worry about me taking his job away. Yikes that is high. It definitely spoils the view. I guess they'll be waving to folks across the way when it's done.
Great photo! I cannot find the worker, but the idea of him brings up memories of old photos of workers eating lunch on steel girders way up in the sky taken back in the 20s.
Spotted your worker, seems like he is behind the blue safety barrier though. Like how you composed the image to keep the beam of the crane in the frame
@redandwhite Thanks for the visit, as always! The worker is the spot of yellow, sort of in the center, at the start of the blue construction zone. @joysabin I loved your description/interpretation!
