This amaryllis is the one that we started from its bulb. Potted on December 9th, this shows its main stages of growth prior to the next important stage: the bloom! Unlike Amaryllis 2, this one only has one bud. And while I can see a bit of color in the bud covering, I don't really know what color to expect. But soon!
Any minute now! I bought two Amaryllis bulbs the other day for a song and a dance (cheap). They are in a brown paper sack in an armoire in my closet. I marked my phone calendar to plant them November 1. Fingers crossed, as I’m terrible at growing house plants.
Super collage! I have two growing (got them last year so this is 2nd growth). The stem of one is about 2 feet tall with 5 blooms coming out on the top but it doesn't have any leaves.
Here it comes.......I am looking at mine every day and it just gets taller and taller by 2" a day, but still the flower hasn't opened. Seriously wondering if I need to make a hole in the ceiling LOL!! Great collage here
