We walked downtown to drop off our ballots this afternoon. The ballot boxes were located at the county offices, just across from Daley Plaza. I liked the way the shadow of the Chicago Temple 'overshadowed' the Picasso sculpture. The tiny people to the right of the sculpture provided a much needed sense of scale. A bit less distracting on black.
Oh, very cool. I prefer to live in small towns, but I do enjoy the big cities to visit for their architecture!
I love that we don't have to wait in line for hours to vote now. ...just wish I trusted the process better.
I like the combination of stark shadow and strong light. It makes me think that the dark times we are in are not the sum of it, there is still the light out there and more to come. Lovely shot.
@jamibann Thanks...so much is at stake. @terryliv I only wish I could be confident in a shared understanding of what is 'right' for these times @will_wooderson Our state and Chicago, its major city, is firmly 'blue' and no voter suppression is anticipated. Many have already voted. @summerfield I've seen many of the posts that convey what it's like living 'above' us these days. Hoping you all stay safe.
