I've continued to work on images from the blue heron rookery on Chicagos north side. This one was taken just seconds before one I had posted last year - https://365project.org/taffy/365/2021-04-06 - that I had cleaned up and processed as best I could. I think this one is cleaner, and the lighting/tones/textures better and more natural.
@jgpittenger ...this isn't the original of the one you asked about, but I thought it gives a better sense of going from what I thought was final last year and what I did more of this year. The one of the crane with the stick had all kinds of branches in front of it, so it was a tedious cleaning up, then working with the color balance and hue/saturation and tone within each hue
@jgpittenger Yep -- I keep doing that! Too late to be posting, clearly! I need to go to bed...just fixed it. I have sandhill cranes on the brain, as I know they are coming back through this time of year, and I want to see them. Birding will start in the next few weeks here.
