Northern Lights Visit Beaver Island

My friend texted about 11:30 last night to say we were supposed to be able to see the northern lights. I debated with myself -- get dressed again, drive 15 minutes, hike down to the beach and get sandy/dirty, etc. OR, stay home cuddled on the sofa. SO glad I didn't succumb to staying in. The show didn't last long, but there were some really nice columns and color tones throughout the sky.

Wow, love to see a vivid display of the Northern lights. Saw a subdued show in Iceland a few yers ago, but not as bright as this.

So glad you got out! It's been 15 years or more since we enjoyed the Northern Lights here. I used to check spaceweather.com regularly for updates, but it's been so long since we had any I rarely check anymore. These are wonderful!

@shepherdman Ours was also subdued to the naked eye, but in camera it popped. I've found that happens more often than not with night photography.
