A Bit Surreal

I woke up today to see my "30000 Feet" photo on trending and PP. Wow -- you all are great supporters!! Thank you so much!!
For this photo, see main album (300000 Feet one) for details - http://365project.org/taffy/365/2013-12-16 - this shot and the one in my other extras album were taken a little later, I think as we were going over the Grand Canyon (or at least somewhere near that system but it's hard for me to believe there would be two canyons like this!). We were so lucky to have such a clear day! Processed in similar way as 30000 Feet.
We are in Hawaii -- yay!! Just photographed the sunrise.

We were just talking the other day about how the Grand Canyon used to be at the bottom of the ocean, and that the land at the bottom of the canyon was millions of years older than the land at the top. Fav'd this awe-inspiring aerial view. A stunning capture! :)
