StructureCollage.HayBales

No need to comment. Posted for mentoring group to illustrate structure/detail in b&w. Probably obvious, but these are the same images, processed exactly the same way (using Nik Suite Silver Efex), with the only difference in the slider for structure. Top is low, bottom is high.
Well, I won't comment then. Still like them though.

@darsphotos That's one of the major lessons I've learned from 365. It really amazes me to think how artistic photography can be.

Can't comprehend how it was achieved but can see and appreciate the difference in the images.

I'm going to comment anyway. Very interesting contrast in technique.

This is really a great post for comparison. It seems like the "structure" slider changes mainly the contrast and sharpness of the image...quite a handy tool!

I don't have a structure slider in PS, but it looks like a mixture of sharpness and contrast (?). Amazing how different they look.

I know just in Camera Raw I am amazed daily what I can do. I think I'll post a picture sooc but then I have to tweak it abit and just love how it comes out. Sometime I may get so of this other processing programs. You certainly inspire me to want to.

I like the extra contrast and detail in the bottom photo. It is amazing what you pull out of the sky.

Thanks for the technical ideas. I've tried shooting the round hay bales in the past, with ho-hum results.
