In our workshop this morning, held at Natsunoya Tea House, the last of once prevalent Japanese teahouses, windows went along the full length of one walls. It was hard not to just gaze out the window onto the view below. First there was a small garden with some brilliant lowers, then a neighborhood (you can see one house's bright blue rooftop behind the flower). In the distance, we could see the volcano Punchbowl, site of the WWII military cemetery and memorial in its crater. To the right is downtown Honolulu's main business district. Such a beautiful place! After our meetings, we visited three of the schools around the island and stopped to do a short photo walk in the botanical gardens (in main album).
@ness50@photodude Thanks Vanessa and Scott! I love this particular flower and was just amazed to see it growing in gardens -- I only see it at the grocery store or florist shop!
