This is my second photo from tonite's fun with processing that fits int he category of ETSOOI. The reason I like this one is the texture of the flowers without the loss of the structure, and I like how the plants and the tree behind them became that marble ghost-like stuff instead. As in my main album, I'm very curious about what others think about this -- both in general, but given what it is (abstract, processed, not representative or document type), does it work (or not) and why? Thanks in advance for your time with this!
The main album example is at: http://365project.org/taffy/365/2013-06-18
BTW, I used Color Efex Pro but when I saved it, then went in to try to recreate it and do something different, I could not recreate this image! I could do other ones, but it's clear that it isn't just the filter, but the order they are applied matters.
Update 6/19. Thank you all for your views and comments and favs that took this to PP tonite (however briefly)!
This is amazing Taffy!!! The Iris looks like silk! Love the background. It works for as a piece of fine art and worthy of hanging in any gallery!! Stunning and a FAV!
@ness50 Thanks so much Vanessa! I was drawn to the colors too. @eyesmile Gosh Gena, that fav is very reinforcing! Thank you so much. And such kind comments...my head is getting bigger as I write!
The processing makes me think they are in an old Turkish style bathhouse with the shadows and light of water reflecting around them on the walls :) I like this as well. (Color Efex Pro has a way of saving 'recipes'...I haven't gotten around to working that out...but maybe you will have some time to.)
I love the effect of the Silver Efex Pro - the metalic look is appealing to me. Love the colors and your right, the structure of the flower appears uneffected by the edits. I like it.
@cathrinemitch@elaine55@zambianlass@willowdragon@colie@kimshots Thanks Catherine, Elaine, ZL, Al, Colie, and Kim. I appreciate your kind comments on this. I was surprised it made it to PP but I was excited as this was my favorite even though I went with Jim's suggestion and posted the chives in my main album. So thank you!!
@eyesmile Gosh Gena, that fav is very reinforcing! Thank you so much. And such kind comments...my head is getting bigger as I write!
Thank you so much for the favs, Pam, Jan, Yao, Gerry, Susale, Katarina, and Janette!
Thank you so much for visiting this image and for your kind comments about it! The processing part is really fun. Arefin, thanks especially for the fav!.
