Let! Me! Out! Now!!! by taffy

Let! Me! Out! Now!!!

From my visit to the zoo yesterday. I feel so bad when I see animals in a cage. Yet, I'm fascinated by the animals and love being able to be so close to them. The tiger had a huge crowd -- always draws a large one. He was quite active when I was there, pacing and climbing and roaring. Or, word for today, smiling?
My favorite sunset shot of my 365 Chicago ones happened tonite - in my main album: http://365project.org/taffy/365/2013-10-07

Like you, don't like to see animals behind bars, but if they are looked after well its better.
Well caught:)

wow, I wonder what time the animals are most active, so late afternoon is the time. You must be so close to it. The roar must be terrifying

What a smashing shot of this tiger. I hate seeing them caged too.

Terrific capture. I know there is all sorts of genetic and research value in zoos, not to mention preservation of some endangered species but it still goes against the grain to see such magnificent creatures behind bars.

Awesome! Love Tigers!

Is that a yawn? Or is it a warning not to get too close? Fabulous. It is very sad to have to keep these magnificent animals locked up.

Great shot. His teeth are in great shape. I'm very conflicted about zoos. Did you see the orca in Seaworld with the huge injury to his chin?

I don't think life in the wild is all a bed of roses, so I don't have a problem with most animals being kept in captivity as long as they're properly looked after, but I disagree with it for dolphins and whales.
