Feeling the Weight of the World by taffy

Feeling the Weight of the World

After taking the photo of the golden leaves carpet in my main album today - http://365project.org/taffy/365/2013-11-12 - I looked to the right and saw this guy sitting amongst what were also beautiful golden leaves. In contrast to the bright, sunlight scene (golden leaves, bright red brick building, sun shining on both building and leaves), he looked so weighted down. Processed it in b&w to bring out all the textures and better align with what seemed to be his mood.
Very cool processed in black and white! It would not have conveyed this mood of loneliness. He really does look like he is carrying the weight if the wold on his shoulders.Love all the strong lines in the brick and benches. The leaves have lost all importance.this is such a great example of what processing can accomplish! Fav!

Oh I can sense his dark mood and the processing is spot on to this subject. I always like the little bit dark moody pics and this is a very good one.

If I did not know that the leaves weight nothing, I would be worried that the earth was weighted down by these piles. Lovely shot and processing

Your B&W really brings out the textures of the brick wall and carpet of leaves. The caption sets the tone. Great capture!

@mzzhope Thanks for the Fav Hope. I also was totally struck by how differently color (or the lack of it) affects each of the shots. Taken from just a few feet apart, yet feeling so different in each one. Thanks for your continued support!
