This is not a likely sight in Chicago so to me, this feels very exotic. This was taken early this morning, just before we left Carmel to head north and end up at a hotel near the airport. The early morning light was just beautiful and there were birds singing away in the trees. This robin stayed still just long enough for me to take this shot.
What a lovely combination! I saw my first Robin yesterday, but since I discovered that some of them overstay the winter, I no longer think of them as harbingers of spring. The lemon tree, however is a lovely exotic touch!
